Welcome to the official Apache Sunset website. This website is dedicated to the western novel Apache Sunset. People say the western is dead. Don’t believe it. Americans always like a good western, whether it’s in the form of a movie or a book. The western novel touches us. It resonates with us. It is a uniquely American form of story telling. We use it to express ideals that, while not exclusively American, are typically so.

This story takes place in 1874 Arizona. Trace Reilly, our hero, gets caught up in the conflict between the Apache Indians and the U.S. Cavalry as the already tense situation heats up to the boiling point. The only question is how long it will take for the lid to blow off. Reilly faces numerous challenges while being marked for death by the fearsome Apache war chief Red Wolf. It will take all of Reilly’s skills and some luck to prevail as he reacts to one deadly crisis after another. Anyone that likes a traditional western novel with strong characters and lots of action should enjoy this book.
